In 1995 her entrepreneurial spirit, together with her determination and drive, led Patsy to establish Prima Information Solutions Inc. (Prima). From its small beginnings, she has grown Prima to become a leading expert in the field of Records and Information Management (RIM), with clients across Canada and internationally.   

Patsy was recognized by PROFIT/Chatelaine as one of Canada's Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs in 2014 and was chosen as one of the Top 50 CEOs of Atlantic Canada by Atlantic Business Magazine in 2017, 2020 and 2021. Patsy was also a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award and was awarded NLOWE’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence in 2017.

Patsy is an active member of many professional associations, including the Women Presidents Organization (WPO), a global peer advisory group for million-dollar-plus companies; techNL; Energy NL ; the Newfoundland and Labrador Organization for Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE); and, the St. John’s Board of Trade.

 

She is also a strong supporter of ARMA, an association that leads the way in records and information management, and she has been recognized by ARMA Canada for her outstanding contributions.

Always keen to give back to the community, Patsy makes herself and Prima available to help where possible. Whether it's through monetary donations of support or hands on assistance to local organizations such as Kids Eat Smart and Stella's Circle. She also supports annual scholarships for the College of the North Atlantic’s Information Management and Information Technology programs.
